The computer legend who invented email has died
Internet Hall of Famer Ray Tomlinson has died.
Tomlinson was the man who basically invented email as we know it today, including making the choice to use the "@" sign in an email address. He was 74. https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/c...152342171.html Thanks Ray, RIP.

RIP Ray.
I was hoping it was the man who claimed he invented the internet who died - killed by global warming. |

Watched the show on Netflix about the start up years and the fights between Jobs and Gates. 1971 would have put Tominson right in at the formative years.
"On Saturday, the man widely recognized as the grandfather of the internet, Vint Cerf, tweeted the news that Tomlinson had passed away." http://finance.yahoo.com/news/comput...152342171.html Pretty sure I read the internet was a new invention and all overlooked getting a patent on it. If they had they would have received royalties and be worth trillions?
