Hatch chiles have finally found their way to Houston. The store I work for is offering free roasting @ select location if you buy a case of them for $19.99 IIRC.

Too bad the store behind my shop closed down. If they were still in operation, they'd be roasting chiles every day, now. I love the smell of roasting chiles.

We had some of these chillies turn red on the plant. They took on a whole different flavor with almost zero heat. We ate a couple without roasting them and man...
We're going to grow these again next year. Brian |

Old chinaman @ work told me his daughter who has a degree in accounting & finance was roasting chilis for a living. She actually took a jod @ a HEB supermarket.
