My Dads 22 Ruger Pistol
Some of you already know my Father passed away a few weeks ago. Today my Mom gave me his MKIII Ruger 22 that he had just bought a few weeks prior to his death. He and I had it out one time before he passed away, so he only got to enjoy it one time. Its a awsome pistol!!! The wife and i ran a few hundred rounds through it today without any malfunctions. I didn't know Ruger had come out with a push button mag release until i saw this pistol.
We now have a Standard model MKI I bought new when i was 16 years old in 1979, a MKII 50th anniversary model i bought my son when he turned 16 and the MKIII mentioned above. The MKIII is even drilled and tapped for a scope, base included. Sorry for the long post, just feeling a little sentimental thinking how much i'm gonna miss Dad. |

Nice looking family, Tom.
You can't help but love those Ruger .22's.

Tom, you make as long of a post as you want!!!
And I know that's one pistol that couldn't be bought right now for no amount of money!!! I'd have to say that your Dad is proud you got it.

I would love to have one of those.I wish I had inherited somthing like that from my dad.I did get my dads Enfield when he died but one of my un-trustworthy brothers borrowed it and I never saw it again.

Nice. That is one of the best .22 pistols made. And it is something you can remember him by.
