Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

I like squirrels, they are fun even if they are a pest around here. My palm trees in the front put out a fruit they love and they come from way across the street climb the palm tree, grab a mouthful and run back. They see me smoking out there and they freeze until they realize I'm no danger.

Mice are a constant threat to my barn, shed and camper. My weapons:

- Two barn cats.
- Live traps
- Traditional snap traps

The best weapon I've found are live traps. In the Summer, I might kill up to 1 mouse a day. Mice are smart. Some will outsmart the snap traps and even escape the live traps. When that happens, I break out the glue traps.

Yes the little critters are smart. Clean your traps with soap and water or alcohol then do NOT touch them with your bare hands wear rubber gloves.
Their a bit shy of the trap to start with and if they smell human scent its a double trouble for them to stay away. No human scent and watch how much better they work.

They can't seem to resist M&Ms peanuts as bait. I'd chew one up, then take it out of my mouth and mold it around the trigger on the trap and let it dry. The scent of the candy must overpower the human scent. Little bastards would climb over their dead buddy to lick it clean.

The most productive mouse bait I've found is black sunflower seeds (same stuff we feed the birds in the Winter). I sprinkle about a dozen seeds in a live trap and check it every couple days.

Made a half a dozen of those to put in my garage and unfortunately... my kitchen. I had stored some dry goods/foods in my garage. It attracted some field mice. I put those home made traps in the garage and kitchen, also sealed any holes the rodents could use to get in my kitchen. I only see an occasional sign of mice. When I do I just refresh the traps and in a short time I no longer see signs of them visiting any longer.

I put one out in the henhouse and the mice ate half the bait overnight.

Don't know if it was effective, yet. I really need to get rid of the squirrels, or they'll destroy the greenhouse I'm going to put up if they get inside it. It's a tarp-style greenhouse with a heavy gauge clear plastic, so it won't be rodent-proof, as they could chew right through it.
