"Johnny" Johnson - last of The Dam Busters - 99 and counting
George Leonard "Johnny Johnson", a WW2 RAF Squadron Leader, the last surviving member of the original 617 Squadron Dam Busters, turned 99 y.o. today.

God bless those damn dam busters. Only those who have been under intense fire know what I am saying. Not once but several times they went back into some of the most horrifying anti aircraft fire until they lined up as they practiced until they got it right.
