Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default First GM Infantry Squad Vehicle delivered to the U.S. Army

A bare bones machine.

Quote:
It took GM only 120 days from contract award to delivery of the
first finished ISV. That’s blindingly quick when it comes to vehicle
development. Of course, developing a truck for a squad of soldiers
is very different than developing it for families to drive to the
grocery store.

This makes a lot of sense. There is no reason for a huge, unarmored humvee when they can have a fast and agile unarmored side by side. But it should be made by Honda.

Then they can have an armored truck for the fobbits to ride in.

The only thing about the HUMMER that I liked was its ground clearance, compared to the Jeep.

But it was big and awkward and didn't have much more room inside than a Jeep had for personnel and gear, which was kind of odd considering how bit it is.

That said, the only experience I had with them was when they were being field tested at Ft. Irwin and several graders were driving them. I saw lots of flat tires and high-centered vehicles.

Then with the up-armoring they've done to it, it pretty much defeats the purpose of a light transport.

Another chinese disease vehicle, made possible by obongo selling out to china. Check out SAIC Motor. I would guess that china already has all the blue prints and is tooling up for this vehicle.
