Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

That does look good. Looks normal now without the grip.

I like what you've done here, man. It looks good, but the biggest improvement is with the aperture sight, in my opinion. How do you like it ?? I've been looking for an aperture sight for my Marlin 1894-M.

First, though.... I must fix the dreaded "Marlin Jam" that's in it.

The receiver sight is great. It's a Williams 5D. If id bought another one I would probably go with the "fool proof" instead because it has more adjust ability for elevation.

What caliber is the 1894 in? I have heard about this problem but never had an issue with my .357.

Mine's in .22-mag. The dopes at Marlin had a critical flaw in their design, according to this seemingly-credible website I visited. The cam on the lever isn't at the best angle, and the carrier is too soft. Essentially, if the action is operated too fast, it will "ding" the bottom of the carrier (where the cam elevates the carrier). After tearing the action apart, I verified that was the problem my rifle had. I can't remember whether or not this was a problem in any variant besides the .22-mag or not, but I don't believe it was.

The remedy is simple. The recommended fix is to take a jig-saw blade (or other very hard metal), cut or grind the teeth off of it, and either cut or grind the width to fit perfectly on the bottom of the carrier. Next, grind or cut the bottom of the carrier so the saw-blade fits perfectly flush with the rest of the carrier bottom. Weld in place. Some have used JB Weld, but I would rather it be welded in. If, by chance, I fuck it up beyond further repair, I can always order a new carrier from Marlin.

Do you shoot silhouette ?? That's what my Marlin was purchased for. It pissed me off, because I bought it specifically for this purpose. I really liked the buck-horn sights it came with, and I just had it sighted in when it jammed. There's no way to clear the jam without a screwdriver, and you really need to be at a bench to put it back together. Next time I go home, I'll repair the carrier. If I find out the sights are less than adequate, I'll replace it with an aperture

Default Maybe a bit late

That is a great conversion 40mm. I'm all over that receiver sight too. Does it mount similar to the Foolproof sight with the holes drilled and tapped into the left side of the receiver?

To get that authentic look all you need to do now is remove the whitestripe from the butt plate and the sling swivel mount.
