Will night vision equipment soon get less expensive?

When HD T.V. first appeared on the market some years back I saw them for sale at up to $10,000. Eventually the price dropped to the under $300 excellent picture T.V.s they have for sale now. Will night vison eventually follow the same path?

I doubt it because of ITAR restrictions on it. The cheap night vision will still be cheap night vision.

I doubt it will get much lower than it is now.

Because of controls and the uniqueness of the devices, the good one's will remain expensive. The lesser expensive one's I've found to be lacking. So save your pennies and get the good stuff.
