A recent miracle
A longtime and faithful member of our church congregation recently went
into hospital to be fitted with a pacemaker. When he was admitted he went down with pneumonia, which eventually lead to something much worse. His wife, Annie, stayed with him in hospital 24/7 for all the time he was there. The church congregation collectively and individually prayed for his complete recovery. Not much was imparted to those outside their very close circle of friends, but we were told several weeks ago that he had entered into a coma, and was at death's door, About a month ago, the whole family had gathered at his bedside to pay their final respects when his time came - he was that close to meeting Jesus. Then miraculously, he woke up, sat up, smiled and actually cracked a couple of jokes; almost like nothing had happened. He and Annie are back home now, and have resumed church attendance on a regular basis. The hospital staff were amazed, and Jim became something of a celebrity among the physicians, nurses and admin staff, other patients and total strangers. The strangest, but perhaps the most significant, part of the story is that a muslim nurse came into his recovery room, and knowing full well that Jim and Annie are devout Christians who had just experienced a miracle from Christ Jesus, spread her arms and said, "I want to soak up whatever is in here." Such is the power of prayer. All praise be to God.

Prayer works, if it is sincere.
