Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Generation 3?

Anybody here use or have used the PVS-14 third generation goggles? I found them on sale until the 29th for $3100. That is still a lot of money at least for me. However if they are good well....

Thanks in advance

PVS-14 is a mononcular, PVS-7B is the goggle. IIRC I paid more for my PVS-14 but the are more to them then meets the eye. Check out TNVC.

There are a lot of ripoffs out there. Go to a reputable source like TNVC.

I know a little, most know it aint cheap to do right. Night vision is a lot like suppressors, what you see in the movies aint the way it really is.

Ask away & I'll teach you all I know from 15 years of ownership & use.

The way things are going in this country in the not so far future there might be all kinds of neat toys laying around on the ground come sun up. You just have to pick up the ones that still work.

I think my brothers is a pvs-14. If so I think its very good for night vision. Don't bother with the adapter to mount it to a scope, it sucks for that.

No mine is the M703E ENVIS, not the PVS14, the guts will fit in the PVS housing, and are close to the same in spec. They are around 2300 from aurora tactical's site. The 3rd gens are great for clarity.

Weapon mounting has been a chore because of the housing difference, but it looks like the ring mount will be the winning option to mount it behind a red dot, or holo sight. As for mounting it in front of, or behind a scope so far no luck. From what I have seen a helmet mount is doable, but they are mostly a hand held mononcular.

I.R Lasers Mounted on the gun with a 3 X magnifier works well. My DBAL has an I.R. illuminator built in. It helps having enough illumination on the target. Behind a Aimpoint or Eotech that has N.V. settings works too.
