Believe it or not, there used to be a small Mexican joint in the next town over which served fried cicada tacos, along with fried grasshopper tacos. They went out of business before I had a chance to sample their bug cuisine.

Well yeah bugs can be eaten, in Colombia they have fried ants and folks eat them like roasted peanuts, in Mehico the have the Chapulin, just a grasshopper that they roast and eat....I guess if I'm really hungry.....and can't find anything with meat.....

Still waiting on the invasion, so far nada even though it's been warm for the last month or so. Some of my neighbors with young sapling trees have them covered with netting to prevent damage from the coming hordes.
