Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Had one of those, years ago, when I fired it, in the evening, I was allmost blinded.
Fire came from allmost every possible orrifice.
Especially around the bolt/chamber area.
Probably one that had a million rounds ran through it.

I always kind of wanted one of those rifles but never got around to it.

I remember when those French Lebels were selling for $10 each in Shotgun News. Anyone else remember the Ye Olde Hunter advertisements?

Those were the days. But those days are over.

That $10.00, back in the 50s/60s is today's $100.00 bill.
Yep I remember those old Shotgun news adds.

AND, those cheap military firearms is partly what brought about the 68 GCA.
Via our very own gun manufacturers.
Irregardless that a cheap Carcano shot somebody of little importance.

Its certainly unique and even though the Mas 36 replaced it,many were used in WW2.I have always wanted one to.

Quote:
The Berthier rifles and carbines were a family of bolt-action small arms in 8mm Lebel, used in the French Army from the 1890s to the beginning of World War II (1940). After World War II, the Berthier carbine with a five round clip ( Mle 1890M16, 1892M16 and Mle 1916 "mousquetons" ) was again utilized by French Foreign Legion and some colonial infantry and cavalry units, including the French Spahis. Mle 1916 Berthier carbines were retained in some French law enforcement units (e.g. the "Compagnies Republicaines de Securite" or "CRS") until the 1960s.

And you could send them a money order and they would mail the firearm right to your home.

I sure miss those days.

Visited Ye Olde in 1961. Had a wall of demilled .45s for $2 each. Lugers and Webleys for $20 OTD.
A Jap Zero in front along with Bazookas galore.
Machine guns all over the place.
Alas.....My pay was about $120 a month...USMC.

Very nice. Would love one of those some day. Didn't see one at the show this weekend but I did pick up 2 Carcanos for the collection.

I have 12 of them if you count the vetterli. Only need a 38ts and a 91ts for a semi complete set but am looking for other models. I am doing a display of them at the next trophy show.
