I plugged my smart phone into my laptop

I plugged my newish smart phone into my laptop with the charging cord to se if you can download pictures and stuff from the smart phone to the PC

You get a little popup notice to choose what you want to do. Download pics and vids, printer options and a few other things

Ive had this "smart" phone for about 6 months now. The camera is really pretty darn good. You can get nice pics and vids when it is getting dark outside almost like a night vision camera

Yeah, me 2, I always buy technology above my head just in case I end up in a hospital bed and get bored; I have no idea how many things my i-Phone can do but it's always the latest model...and the camera is awsome...eat u'r hearts out Canon & Minox!

The small lens on cellphone cameras is amazing for its purpose and...somewhat... cool....but simply cannot hold a candle to Nikkor lenses.

And that is a fact.

I was always getting my girlfriend to use her I-phone to take pictures on our vacations and then download to aflash drive because I was too cheap to buy a phone with a high resolution camera. She took her laptop on vacation so that worked out.

I set mine to the option something like *open a folder, to view files.* I take far more pics with my phone than with my camera, but I don't keep many on the phone.

Technology tip;

You download from the internet.
You transfer between devices.

If you mess that up while talking with young/IT people, you'll get the head-tilt like dogs do, as they try to figure out what you really mean.

The Iphone 11 and 12 take awesome pictures but....they are not an SLR.

Reminds me of the sense on the old Kodak Brownie...I still have a picture of myself that my mom took when I was 2...amazingly clear b&w detail!

Oh heck my mother had one, that used 120 film which eventually went for the professional cameras like Rolleiflex, Mamiya, etc. I believe some of the pictures taken when I was small were taken with it.

My son scanned some of those old photos and sent me some.

I remember taking Black & White Photography in high school and making a pinhole camera out of a Quaker Oats canister. Neat stuff. I wish film would make a comeback.
