CCleaner for Mac and PC
Mrs. R-a-R is getting irked by the slo-speed of our PC (with Winders 7 OS);
I'm kinda surprised at how pedestrian it has become. She must have downloaded literally thousands of images from her camera over the past several years, taken at her art class sessions, and her trips to China and messico. But the PC still has shit-loads of GB's left for even more stuff. I can see from what she left up on the screen that she's toying with downloading CCleaner for Mac and PC recommended in the forum on a site called TechSoup. Online reviews of this product are generally favorable, but I value opinions from trusted friends. So, if you have experience or unbiased knowledge of the pro's and con's of this product, I'd appreciate hearing...er...reading what you would care to share.

I use CCleaner all the time. It notifies me when I'm starting to get too much history.
I only have 29 percent storage left because of all my photos. Makes a world of difference in operating speed. I really should do it every day, but I don't. |

CCleaner in use here and I run it once a week. The first screen that comes uyp, in the lower right hand corner, click on the run cleaner and when that finishes then tab down to the registry and scan for issues and keep running until it no longer finds registry issues. I do NOT use the save option either and have no issues from that action.

Check and see if you need to de-fragment your C rive too. That will speed things up a bit. CCleaner, I use it all the time on all my computers, it's quite safe.
