Can two search engines coexist?
Some numbnut "fixed" this laptop recently by putting Windows 10 on it. I have Firefox and I can't play YouTube along with a host of other video hosting sites and as an added bonus can't open most links to articles in articles from other websites forum.
Most of the solutions I've found are regarding those using Google Chrome and I can do them, they do not apply to Firefox. If I install Google Chrome will it destroy Firefox and all bookmarks or will FF have a parallel existence?

You can do both. As a matter of fact, Chrome can import all of your bookmarks from Firefox (without taking them from Firefox). The only issue I have with Chrome is that they steal all of your info. Food instance, if you look at something on let's say Amazon, for the next few days you will see ads pertaining to what you searched.
There is a way to fix Firefox. All you have to do is install the Flash player. Then you'll be able to watch videos again. Flash is becoming susceptible to viruses, so that's why Firefox is shying away from it. YouTube and all of those use Flash.

The new versions of firefox suck. Pale Moon is much better, as it is built on older versions of Mozilla and therefore, more controllable.

My system is too old for 10. Otherwise it is a working system.

My trouble started with Firefox updating itself, restored to older version. Got it working with Windows 7, told idjit everything was fine. They put Windows 10 on in my absence, claim a system restore won't work because 7 is obliterated, I got updated Firefox working then it stopped. Pale Moon may be the easiest way to go or I'll have to do what did in his thread, don't know if I can. I supposedly disabled Microsoft Edge on this one, that's the counter accusation. |

The YouTube video I shared walks you through all the steps. If you do the Flash drive, you can try it without installing it. If you like it, then you can do the permanent install from the drive.

Try Vivaldi (browser). It's the newest one created by the programmer who originally built Opera. I like it.
