Albanian SKS
What are they bringing these days?
Typical crap stock, Serbian sling, pile of stripper clips (34) black and grey, non-matching trigger guard. Bullshit Chink chest rig. Metal good. Not looking to sale until next month and I find out if I can avoid it. Also have to go through what I have of 7.62x39mm. Local assholes (UPS and FedExcrement) won't let me send it out and when I run out, not going to get anymore. .308 not much heavier and has far more range, punch and ease of restock. Unfortunately the rate I shoot it, my supply will still be around thirty years after I'm dead like my grandpa's 8mm from TG&Y.

typically, $400.
maybe less . only ones that bring more $$ are ones that have a near perfect stock where the shellac they used isn't peeling.

Look for the GB listings threads, with condition info to go with the prices. Looks like $500-600 is pretty common.

I sold one last year for $380 IIRC. It was beat to hell too.

I didn't get it on purpose, part of a pile of C&Rs in estate bundle. Even if it was new it would be ugly. I hate to admit to not liking fugly Combloc tech I still don't like it.
They look like one of those fugly ducklings that would be a delight to lovers of the hideous. They are even uglier ergonomically than they are cosmetically. Only handled this one, others may be a fug lovers dream. |

You should try a nice Romanian, Russian, or early Chinese.
That little Paratrooper handles really nicely too, and is REALLY cute with that little blade out. Albanians are considered to be the worst quality built SKS, and the longer wood makes them look like a Butterface. An unnumbered Albanian bolt carrier is a prize though, for those that want to bubba an SKS together. Might be interesting to hear about that ammo you have too... |

Threw tread on left back tire, beat the gas line off tank, ate a chunk of fiberglass fender. Made offer to gun dealer.
SKSs are attractive but the Albanian may be the cure. |
