Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

I like my XD-45, and the my Springfield Champ... in .45 ACP you can't go wrong, well unless you get a Ruger, lol.

Hey...Rugers aren't too bad, unless you want an accurate pistol...I had a P95 in 9mm, would feed any ammo you put through it, but with anything above 115 gr. you couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

In my opinion, the taurus and the springfield are both good guns, or a classic 1911 would be good.

I had a P-89 and it was fairly accurate but I only ran 115's through it. Now a P-90...I couldn't get better than a 6" group with it at 10 yards, when I could grab up a beater Llama 1911 standing in the same spot, same ammo and get 2" groups.

I love my p-89. It is accurate, as far as I can see. 20 feet or so. It is very dependable. And my truck carpet has a permanant indention from where it rides along with me everyday. But I also love my Taurus pistols. All of them both revolvers and autos, never had any trouble.

I bought a 7 month old used CZ 75 combat model 9mm. The one in olive drab frame and black receiver for 275$. I traded my Sig p220 in for it and money. The p220 was nice but the CZ in my hands is far more accurate. Probably because its 9mm and not .45. The P220 I had was also a used gun and a little too used.

I may go with the "cake and eat it too" strategy.

For the time being I may get a Glock 17 because they're almost indestructible (I traded off my last 17 several years ago).

Then I'll just start my research for either a well-made 1911 or some other pistol.

Magnus , my brother bought a investment real estate purchase of land near where you are. Problem is we never saw it. If I give you directions and permission to hunt on the land will you send back some pictures and map out the area. He bought a parcel On-Line 9 months ago ?

For the money I like SIG's. They are a bit pricey. But it is a SIG. I have two at the moment and plan to have a couple more.

If you must have a 9mm -- I just saw this at AIM Surplus -- a pre "B" series CZ75.

I've shot these and they are a helluva lot of fun. Very similar to a High Power. We used to buy them through the Rod and Gun Club in Germany for $300 in the 80's, so the price is in line.

CDNN and SOG are offerring used Sig's pretty reasonably, i just got a Steyr M9-A1 in 9mm this week, i was supposed to get a 357 sig caliber but they were out of stock. i was firing it last night, it double taps better then my glock, barrel is closer to being inline with my arm when firing then the glock. i still love my glock 17 though i just posted about being able to finally get a Glock 34 tactical.

i haven't shot the XD series (yet) i did handle the 45 and liked how thin it was, that said i have a Taurus milleniun in 45 an a 24/7 in 45, both of which i also like very much.

just depends on what caliber you want i like the 9mm for the 'cheap' ammo at retail outlets (wallieworld 9mm 100 rds for 12.00)

in 9mm with the 'wonder' guns i'd look at

Glock 17 and 34
Springfield XD 5'' Tactical
Steyr M9-A1 (might be hard as they are pretty new)
Taurus 24/7
EAA Fullsize All Metal Witness

in 45 caliber
Springfield XD Tactical 5''
Taurus 24/7
Taurus 1911 (if you can find one)
Springfield/Kimber "tricked out" 1911

i didn't list the sig's as for me personally, i'm not a big fan of them, nothing wrong with them, just 'not' for me, although i do have 2 TZ99's which are basically 226 clones
