making hollow points
Has anyone ever had any experience with one of these?
http://www.sportsmansguide.com/produ...r-kit?a=891185 The reason why I'm asking is that there isn't much hollow point ammo in 7.62x25. How well do they shoot? |

I don’t know if it’s accurate but I read one time that it wasn’t a good idea to make a hollow point out of a bullet unless it was a totally jacketed round. They were saying there was a chance the lead core could shoot out through the jacket leaving the jacket in the barrel and that would be very bad if another round was fired down the barrel. I wouldn’t hesitate using the one they make for 22's but I don’t think I would use 7.62x25 unless I knew for sure the round was totally jacketed just to be on the safe side.

Correct, a HP needs a jacket that completely covers the bullet base.
Also, those Tok guns were not designed for HP, so they might or might not feed. And if the HP is too small, it won't expand anyway.
