Com-cast finally fixed my problem
I rewired my hole house they rewired my aerial, they fixed an issue about a block away and had my modem replaced yesterday. Good speed, I ran this test using a server in Jacksonville, about 400 miles away. Their new router also transmits a wifi signal for a hotspot from my house and I couldn't turn it off myself, so I called them and told them if they want to use my electricity and facilities for a hot spot they'd better pay me $25.00 a month. They turned it off rather quickly.

Thats fast. Real fast. I'm paying $70 a month for TWC and get 17Mb/s download, and around 1.17Mb/s upload. Can't wait until Cincinnati Bell turns on the fiber optic line they installed on my street last summer.

Think you will want to pay for the upgraded fiber optic line?

Unless they run the fiber optic cable right to your modem you won't be gaining much.

Here is mine. I'm usually a little faster upload speed but kids have just got out of school. Every one of the little bastards are on the internet playing games and sending texts.
I use my own modem and router. I save a few bucks a month and get a little faster speed too. http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/5134524966

The problem with using your own equipment is they may change something and you'll need to buy a new one or if anything happens they blame your equipment, so i chose to pay $10 a month and they have to take care of it like they just did. I have Internet, home phone/ fax and TV digital preferred package for about $217 taxes included. I get reimbursed for partial cost from my company so it's OK.
