RPK Green
RPK Grey/Green
Before I wasn’t satisfied with the way the black looked when it was finished. So I cleaned it off and refinished it to Duracoat Grey/Green. I like the look and results much better. After

Here it is in good sunlight with the windage adjustable rear sight. The color shows better in natural light than with the fluorescent back light.

That's definitely an interesting looking RPK. Not sure if I like it as much as I do the black though. How's the bore condition on it? I was planning on getting one from DPH, because Scott had one left at the last show in a box of parts, but it was mismatched and in so-so shape. I opted for a nice yugo RPK for the same price instead.

I like it too, it's more green in sunlight and goes grey as the sun goes down.
How did you like the windage adjustable rear sight? I got those from KVAR 3-4 years ago. Thought this would be a good use for one of them. |

Nice build.
I used the OD green/dark grey parkerized blend from KG Guncoat on my last build. I swear it's the closest thing you can get for that original patina you see on old Garands. I'll probably use it on my RPK if/when I ever get around to refinishing it.
