I went up in the attic after church to shoot the raccoon

I went up into my attic but the raccoon wasn't up there today. I guess he's out prowling. So I temporarily repaired the damage he made. I haven't washed his mud off yet. Just leaving it like it is.

But I set up an electric fence charger. The welded wire mesh is the ground. And the aluminum corner is hot.

When I first give it a try and tested it, it was shorted out. So I examined and the facia on the rear of the house is grounded. So I unfastened the aluminum corner. Then I cut a piece of an old inner tube for insulation between the aluminum corner and the rear facia. I tested it then and it works great.

I had to do the same thing to my workshop a few years back because of a returning raccoon. I'll have to leave this electric guard up for at least a year because he will return late next fall when it starts getting cold again.
