Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Went for a run today

I took the wife to the local state park and ran the 7.5 mile trail loop. There are dozens of gigantic hills that vary from 150m to 400m+ long. Some look to be about 7-8% grade which is ball busting material.

Aside from a 3 week hiatus do to a strained calf, I've been trying to run 4-5 times per week and would like to see the small amount of fat on my body melt away.

It just isn't as easy to keep it together compared to when I first started running 21 years ago. Getting older is humbling to say the least.

I can't do the running deal, but I am pedaling almost five a day. It's a mile and halfish to back gate on the farm here and coming down the blacktop from there make's it 2.4 IIRC so with to the gate and back a few of the trail's in the wood's I am leaning out a bit. Getting older make's me grumble a bit now and again.

I can barely get out of bed in the

morning...

About everything hurts lately

It takes me all day to do what

I used to do in a couple of hours

Getting old sucks

True, very true, but it sure beats the hell out of the alternative!

Like I told my daughter when she texted me that she had just come back from a 4.5 mile cross country run: I hate running. I'd rather stand my ground.

I wish that I could run, and I admire

the dedication that it takes to run

cross country...but my body would not

allow me to do that...and I’m to lazy...

If the building is on fire I'll run til I get out. Walk burns calories, just slower than running and doesn't hurt as much. Fuck a bunch of running.

Did 5.2 miles yesterday in 88 degree heat. Everything hurts more now a days. Every run starts with a shitty left ankle tendon pain. Both feet hurt and sometimes my knees have little painful gremlins that come & go. I guess everything is wearing out.

Today I went and did my 1.5 mile hill workout. The course goes half way around a rural lake and terminates at the beach. It is almost all uphill (some sections are 7% grade). I drop the wife and her paddle board off on the south side boat landing and then start running to the other side while she paddleboards to the beach to pick me up. I usually get there first and have time to take my shoes off and tie the laces together and throw them around my neck. Then, when she arrives, I hop on and paddle board us both across the lake back to the starting spot by the boat landing so I can do another circuit. By going this way my runs are uphill every time. When I first started doing this last summer my running time was around 15 minutes. After having done this circuit several times this summer I felt my running shape improve and today I hit it in a personal best time of 9:21... That's 6:13 per mile and all of it uphill. By fall I'd like to crack 9:00...we'll see.

Old man is still hanging in there but I admit I have to workout 10 times harder these days.

Aging sucks ass.
