On the left side barrel is the crown over U proof mark. There is another proof mark on the right side of the barrel but it is to faint to read. The serial number on this gun is 363260. All exterior parts have matching serial numbers. This gun has a serial number in the range of the Standard Wartime Commercial. Sold with this arm is all the associated paperwork that came with the gun. This includes the original warranty, take down guide, safety instructions, and sales catalog. The company's paper work provides the following information. The barrels are relined. The coil springs, any worn parts were replaced. The finish on the gun has been redone using flat grinders and surface grinder. The company nitre blued the parts that were finish that way on the original and they pickle grayed that same parts as on the original. New grips have been installed. There are only the slightest of handling marks on the gun since it was refinished. The paper work states that the gun was test fired at the factory. I have the test target that was shipped with the gun and has the guns serial number on it [IMG] Mauser Broomhandle C96 caliber 7.63MM. Very nice!
The guy that owns the gun shop that gets a lot of my money, has one of those on display. I always drool when I swing by his displays while there. |

Way cool! I wish they'd put the c96 back into production in .45 acp or at least 9mm parabellum.

I recently acquired two. One in 9mm. Putting it back together can be a bitch. Gotta make it "click".
I absolutely adore them and may get more. My 9mm: * |
