Ahhh Casey, I just now seen this. One of the great pleasures in my life was meeting your Dad face to face and having the privilege of shaking his hands. Work has kept me away from the forums the last few days and I didn't even know of his sickness. I can't make any promises, but I am certainly going to try and be there for the viewing Thursday night.

I just lost my Dad a year ago on the 7th, under similar circumstances. There were both the same age, both vets, and very similar in their mannerisms. I know this will be a huge loss to your family, but be comforted that we serve a Mighty God and that your Dad has been taken home to the Mansion built by his Savior.

Oh man, what a punch to the gut, this morning.

I'm so sorry for your loss, SP. I've talked to your father a couple times on the phone, and exchanged correspondence.

He was and always will be remembered as a friend, even if we never shook hands.

So many new members there, not sure if they would remember him..
But a lot of Vets, they will feel the pain we feel..

He was a good man, a good father, a good patriot and a good friend. I spoke with him several times when my brother was buying a property for his daughter in DC, Jim was a licensed appraiser until his back made him retire and he was able to guide us in the right direction. He will be missed, that's for sure. Some of the old timers at Gunco know him from way back also that's the reason for my post there. Could someone post it at Gunsnet? I don't have an account there anymore.
