I went to the show with the intention of buying a real 1870's colt saa......but......after walking the show and seeing the real colts that were available i got cold feet......i don't know enough about them to avoid buying one that has "issues"......I wanted one with a 7 1/2" barrel because despite what hollywood puts out the 7 1/2" barreled colt saa's were the only barrel length available from colt for a long time in the old west era and most of the documented famous/infamous gunfighters used them.........I now need a holster.....im going to get a authentic 1870's style slim jim or double loop holster for this along with a belt with bullet loops in them.

Really nice grab buz and great price.
Now your out their in cowboy country their should be holsters all over the place? But here is one I just got for my .45 big iron off Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Gun-belt-Leat...955118&sr=8-71 That is 6 in. buz contact them and see if they have one bigger for yours? Well made and hell probably all I will need my range riding days are just about over. When I come out to see you guys I will probably buy my cowboy hat and boots out their. We can rent some horses and head over to the Alamo. Should be a fun ride hell it ain't that far from your house is it? Arizona Texas hell their right next to each other? Keep an eye for them durn Apache's.

When I was spending a lot of time in the White Mountains, my carry piece was a Ruger .44 with a 4.75 in barrel. I carried it in a shoulder rig that the maker called a John Wesley Hardin rig. It was a SlimJim type holster with three pair of bullet loops down the face of it. It's not where I can put my hands on it at the moment, but I think it was El Paso that made it.

I wish them older colt type pistols did not have such small grips on them. I had one like that in .357...shot out ONE cylinder load...sat on it for ten-fifteen years and sold it at a gunshow. It was just plain uncomfortable to shoot.

Italians make some good guns. It should be a good shooter. Remember to not carry it with a cartridge in the top chamber
