hangfire what I am doing is trying to keep updated info on the present ammo price of .556. Rather than starting a new thread I figured to inform and just update this one? Mods will jump me if it is not correct those guys are mean.
http://www.sgammo.com/product/brown-...red-steel-case I shoot this stuff with what seems to be no ill effect so far anyway? $215.00 presently plus shipping of $16.00 to Astor here. Appears it does not want to drop below $200 as I watch it quite often?

Their price on .223 may be stuck just above $200 but they have a darned good price on .30 carbine, $12.50 a box if you buy a case. I haven't seen it that low for quite a while.

Decent deals on .556 for now anyway.
http://www.sgammo.com/product/brown-...red-steel-case
I just grabbed a case of the Brown Bear. Is it the best ammo out their? Hell no but they all go bang and no problems with my weapon. I follow these ammo prices each day and every damn time a sad incident happens like we just had in Orlando the buying starts. The gun control grumblings have begun and the buying will begin. Will prices eventually come down? For sure but it takes damn near forever. If yah have enough ammo no problema if yah need some git er now. PREP. http://gun-deals.com/list/ammo/.223%252F5.56 |

Ammo prices kind of holding steady, so far.
http://gun-deals.com/list/ammo/.223%252F5.56
But a lot of these ammo distributors are starting to post delay times in shipping due to "high demand." Now please not starting any panic here by any means. But I purchase AR uppers and odds and ends from major distributors then get bombarded with e-mails on weekend deals. This for the past year kind of steady. Now I see out of stock or increased prices of $50 plus. Plus the weekend deals have slowed to practically just a very few. Is it the new talk of gun control? I don't know but my .02 is ammo will be next to rise in price? |

Update: Ammo prices holding steady. For now.
http://gun-deals.com/list/ammo/.223%252F5.56
I try to grab one AR upper a month on the deals I am e-mailed. What I am finding is they go fast and you have to hit the buy button kind of quickly. Great deals still out their but people are sure buying. http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-1...rifle-kit.html |

5.56 ammo prices holding steady but backloged on orders for shipping.
SHIPPING DELAY DUE TO VERY HIGH ORDER VOLUME
http://www.sgammo.com/product/brown-...red-steel-case Just a gut feeling supply and demand will bring the prices up a bit now just my .02. A neighbor just grabbed these C Product magazines at $9.99 each on sale. I got rid of all my guns but he let me fire his. They worked just fine. Are they super high end? Nah but they got a lot of decent reviews. "The Armory 30 Round .223/5.56 Caliber Aluminum Magazine w/Tan Follower" http://www.the-armory.com/shopsite_s...-follower.html |

I haven't checked prices for quite a few months, and was curious.....I shouldn't have looked. Even mosin and rimfire are way up from what it used to be......

No shit, groceries keep going up and up.
My local store quit stocking the large instant Folgers jars. The next size down is almost as much as the large ones were. |

Some ammo is going up in price but .556 seems to be holding at around .22 cents a round.
But take note I order from PSA each month and they sent notice apologizing as they have a two week delay in shipping due to super high demands. My guess is a lot of entry level gun buyers buying? Deals still out their but some prices rising $50 to close to $100 dollars. http://gun-deals.com/list/ammo/.223%252F5.56 http://palmettostatearmory.com/ar-15-05/rifle-kits.html |

Slight creep up in price on .223 = 5.56..
Nothing of worry or to panic but looks like the prices are slowly heading back up a bit. What the vendors do is jockey for position for the lowest cost per round. Then they add insane shipping costs.
http://gun-deals.com/list/ammo/.223%252F5.56 Just a few weeks to see if the prices go off the charts? Time will tell? |
