Remington 870 tactical
Finally picked up one yesterday. Been needing a short barreled 12 gauge for sweeping away potential trouble in the coming year.
Thought about swapping out furniture, but after cleaning it I kind of like it just the way it is.

It's hard to beat an 870. I have two. I picked one up for $50 from a guy who evidently didn't give a damn about it. The receiver was rusted but a little sand blasting and some flat black spray paint (I actually thought of hitting it with some black CARC I have but decided it wasn't worth the effort) and it was a good shooter.

While an 870 makes a good 'Zombie removal tool' , I prefer my Mossberg 500 (due to the ambi safety on the rear of the receiver).

I looked at a Mossberg 500 as well, but the one they had had a few additions with the price jacked up as well. I'll probably pick one up somewhere else later and mount a pistol grip on it in place of the butt stock for a shorter "tool" I can toss behind the seat of my truck.

My 870 is a former LE shotgun. Extended mag tube, 3" magnum, parked finish, Cyl bore. I keep it filled with 00 buckshot. Zombies hate buckshot.

The 870 is a good and informal reports from the middle east are that they 870 withstands abuse better than its Mossberg competitor.
