Thank you 10 bears I laid this cabinet on the floor and placed cardboard next to it so i could draw out the wine rack cabinets.........i want to make these wine racks in 3 separate pieces but it makes building the face frame challenging......i stopped for today so i could think about how to construct the remaining parts of this. The center cabinet is ready to stain at this point......i just have to build the racks now.

I worked on this for 7 hours today.......I finished cutting all the wine bottle separator blocks and glued and nailed them in...then i moved on to making the face frames....i got all the face frames cut but i still have to glue and pocket screw in the center pieces.....then there will be more sanding. It feels good to almost have all this ready to stain and spray though. Believe it or not i used up over 100 board feet on this and today i was cutting up nice wide , finely figured alder boards to make those little blocks.....i only have one 10' board left ...so ill be going back to the lumber yard in phoenix tomorrow or the next day. I still have to make the countertop and 6 false door panels. |

Dang, that's a LOT of wine bottle storage.
And you said that you don't even drink! When you finally get around to 'flipping' that home it will be worth a small fortune. Well done Buzz, very well done! |

I sanded these for 7 straight hours today.........first with 80 grit, then 150 and finally with 220....then i rounded off the sharp edges with a combination of the quarter sheet electric sander and a piece of sandpaper between my fingers......my hands are toast right now. And i have to do it all over again tomorrow. |
