Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Get outta my head, will ya! lol

Shoot, when I switched over from evap cooler to A/C the end of June it took me 4+ hours spread over 3 days. In my younger days I'd have done all that in a single 2 hour blast.
then again I had a wasp nest inhabiting the electrical outlet box and dealing with those dang things is always scary.

I only run when chased.

I have always been envious of those people with that natural runners stride. For a tall person I always short stride unless I am in my sprint. I am normally heavy footed and plod along. These days trying to get more fit while doing a warehouse job that I am consistently on concrete which is really causing my feet to bark. Gently shedding the weight but I have a while to go to get to the point I want to be.

Runners have knee issues at times when older so watchout but still wish I could do it.

After taking almost a year off (and it shows), I went for a run today. Three miles. Kicked my ass. Had to run/walk/run/walk the last half mile. It was my lack of wind more than anything. And I'm sure it didn't help that it was 94 degrees.

The heat doesn't do a runner any favors. I remember running Grandma's Marathon up in Duluth, MN about 10-12 years ago and it was unusually hot (95-97 degrees). I stubbornly went out at 6:30 per mile to attempt a 2:50 time and gave no regard to the heat & humidity. I came in at 3:36. I had major cramping in the quads and walked the last 6.2 miles. I looked great at 15 miles... still looked ok at 20 but felt everything falling apart... then suffered horribly.

Today's run wasn't shit compared to what I used to do, less than five years ago. But even then, I started out like today's run. I just gotta get back into doing it consistently. I'd like to drop about 20-25 pounds and build my lungs back up.

When I was young I used to talk shit about those people who walked for exercise. Heck, now that is the way I go. If you walk with a pace with a purpose you get a good workout and is much more friendly on my joints.

I'll be 86 in about four weeks. On my birthday I'm gonna run a whole block with my 03-A3 on my left side and 1911 on my right side. Then I'm gonna walk back home and have coffee and donuts.

I'll run again next year.

Sam Adams, you rabble rouser I just came for the fried chicken.

Your body is talking to yah AWT. Pain lets you know something is wrong. Time for long bike rides and to stop hurting yourself.
Hell look at those guys in like the Tour De France race what kind of shape their in.

Walking at a brisk pace is much easier on the joints. I have to be careful I don't F up my achilles tendons... they're tighter than piano strings.

I might have to swallow my pride (and save my knees and ankles) and start going for walks with a loaded backpack. Four miles with a pack can't be worse than three miles (no pack) jogging.
