I have read about Tex Johnston perhaps the greatest test pilot who ever lived through it all.
Flying some plane with 3 or 4 airline execs. for a demonstration one of them asked him if it was true he did a barrel roll with a glass of liquid on the console and did not spill a drop.
He took out some? liquid poured it in a cup put it on the dash and snap rolled the airplane not spilling a thing. He said the execs. were still screaming when he landed.

Sorry, the gretest pilot ever was Bob Hoover, he used to do that trick on his twin engine Commander even with the engines off. It's all about energy management.
