Yes. It's very un-traditional, but we'll let it pass, just this once! Everything looks delicious! Nothing at all wrong with your course of action. I'm a big fan of turkey, but also love steaks. The only thing I would have done differently is cook them medium-well to maybe well done. That's nothing that 5 minutes on the grill can't fix. And even a guy like me who prefers well-done steaks won't back down from a medium rare offering. It's all good! -
Why ruin that meat with capers and whatever else, it looked delicious by itself, just salt and pepper.
Medium rare, you have to see my seven year old grandson devour a medium rare steak in minutes....Comment

We like what we like, and I happen to love capers. Normally I do mushrooms with shallots and caper. I could grab a bottle of red wine for a reduction finish with butter. Those rib eyes were perfect by my standards. A nice seared crust and rare. I even like a blue rare steak in hot weather.
One of my best friends has some very different than mine food standards. The first time I threw down rare steaks he started that “I don’t like raw meat” and I served bacon wrapped asparagus another one of his I don’t like asparagus! He had brought his girlfriend over so I cooked 4 strips, seeing as they are packed two per package. When he started with his bitching I told him we’ll go cook your steak to your liking. His girlfriend and I sat down to eat, and she instantly started praising my culinary skills. Not only did he eat more asparagus the her and me combined he ate two steaks. It was at that point that he changed his eating habits, at least when at my house.
