The oranges I had were get a bit old. Dinner was kind of salty so I figured the OK would cut through the cotton mouth. IMG_2203.jpg

We have a tangelo orange tree that produced heavy this year. My wife was very excited about the crop until she found out that the skin was thick and hard to peel which research revealed that the tree may not have gotten enough water throughout the year. So she gave away many as juice oranges even though they are very tasty. We been juicing the the remaining oranges. I tried 'supreming' the oranges but by the time the peel is removed there is not enough left to enjoy for the effort.
You can bet that that tree will get plenty of water in the coming year. We planted it around 20 years ago and it's now about 15 feet tall.👍 1Comment

I have a lot of land at the Sanibel place but it got flooded with salt water twice in the last few years, I don’t know if much will grow there. There are a log banana trees, some are bearing fruit, coconut trees, those are fine in salty environment, bamboo, Areca palms and some other shrub which the flower is used as a psychedelic drug, that’s coming out. Maybe I’ll plant some oranges and see, I have the Sanibel River on my backyard.Sometimes I wish I had a Harry Potter's wand and make people go up into smoke.👍 1Comment
