For me, bacon has always been the "perfect food group". Are you improving this by simply sprinkling pepper on it? Sounds interesting.

I tried some apple/cinnamon flavored bacon from the local Mom & Pop grocery store. It was definitely different, but still good. Cooking it was a great smell.

Peppered bacon is great as is peppered jerky.
