Tractor Supply (mesquite) lump charcoal

I'm on my third bag of the stuff (on sale for 4th of July, too!). It's the best mesquite charcoal I've ever tried. I've grilled steaks with it, and smoked two briskets with it and it gets my full endorsement. Burns longer than Royal Oak lump charcoal, too.

Ever try using just hard wood? That's all I've ever used for grilling. It's free, burns great and has no shortage of a great smoky flavor.
