That was a poor choice of dog to shoot. That guy is a retired OK highway patrolman that is only about 40. He retired because he made enough off his YT channel so he probably still has buddies active in the patrol. Two habitual vehicles parking to hunt on public land next to his place and a thirty minute window. There’s no way in Hell that the cocksucker hasn’t been identified by now.

The guy’s kid had an appointment for braces on Wednesdy. Work crews were showing up at the house to paint and another one was renovating a bathroom. Guy takes off with the kid, Bear escaped and ran off with the other dog, Earl. Earl used to lead Bear off the land and did so immediately, crossing the road off the homestead to public hunting land.
Some asshole in a tree stand shot Bear (who, left to his own devices stays on the homestead) and managed neither a clean nor humane kill. It was a very large broad head arrow. Earl made it back home alone inside thirty minutes so they knew something happened to Bear. Bear makes it home with an arrow in front of his shoulder but totally disabling it. The guy gets a call and comes home, administers painkillers, determines lifting the 90 pound Bear into a vehicle and the jostling of the trip into OKC would definitely be fatal, calls three vet services. One vet cannot come until the end of shift, one’s closed and the other’s too busy.
Vet comes, determines nothing can be done and puts Bear down. Arrow is removed and Bear is buried the next day.

The mother fucker needs to loose his hunting privileges for life. And this is a sad reason that dogs need orange colors at the least during hunting season.

I really lost my desire to hunt after doing Africa. I have standing offers to come hunting. I just don’t want to deal with processing a deer. I did one for a friend of mine, but really don’t care to make it a regular thing
