Yes and I was thinking even older than that. Every year engineers and designers want to put more and more gadgets on new vehicles to appeal to the buyers. So my 2007 Silverado was just getting some body work done and I had a new Toyota SUV rental. Toyota makes good cars and i loved this little rig it had every damn thing.
Hell it almost made yah coffee in the damn morning. All wheel drive super fast super great on gas 30 miles to the gallon and buttons to push and more buttons to push. I never did push all the damn buttons before I turned it in. Problem? I went to the dealer for a part for my truck and behind the cashier a big sign "LABOR $200 AND HOUR'.
I don't care how good a mechanic you are you need a computer to tell you what is wrong with that button you pushed. No computers? Get out your cash lots of it.. $$$$$$$$$$
