Thanks for posting that, Sanders, brings back a lot of memories of the good old days. You were an Ivyman at one time too weren't you.
Tim was up there around Kontum/Dak To with the 2nd brigade. I was south of there with the 3rd brigade.

My first duty station was 4th ID at Ft. Carson 2nd Brigade B- 2/8 Inf.

Memories your right brother. Beautiful mountains giant condors hanging huge wings extended by the cliffs catching the updrafts occasional tigers roaring for whatever reason at night sending chills down your spine. Then Victor Charles ruining it for yah or was it us ruining it for them?
Main battle of Dak To was just before I landed Hill 875 Hill 1338 and all the surrounding A.O... Ah Shaw and the U.S. Marines to our north Cambodia to our west and our adversary the N.V.A. 'bad boys' 66th Div. trying to cut Vietnam in half with the 4th Inf. Div. in their way.
