She's been a good friend for almost 30 years, her first husband died of cancer at age 38, she got a real estate license and I helped her out a lot, single mother two kids, somehow kids blamed her for their dad's death, she had a rough time, her dad also died but left her set up with a paid house and a rental unit, it took her over 20 years to find another husband, not because she was ugly, she was cute and one of the nicest people you ever knew, a Jersey girl, her mom suffered a stroke and she was her caretaker. I only had a very good working relationship with her, she was a paralegal and always helped me on whatever I needed, I helped her in real estate, we never charged one another, I used to call her my little sister. The guy had issues, drug and mental issues, he lived at her house for a few years, then got into one of their mom's rental units and refused to cover the expenses, let the property go to shit so she had him evicted, he killed her. The movie was just recently released by the cops, he dumped about 15 rounds into her. give me 30 minutes with the son of a bitch and let me walk afterwards.Sometimes I wish I had a Harry Potter's wand and make people go up into smoke.Comment

It just goes to show, some people don't understand kindness. Oftentimes, family is the worst.
We had a similar "family member" eviction locally that didn't result in a shooting. An elderly couple bought something they always wanted: a cabin on a lake. Immediately after the sale, the daughter asked if she and her kids could stay there for a "couple weeks". This turned into "a couple years" and the parents were forced to legally evict their own daughter.
The place was ruined and the parents didn't have the money it would take to fix or re-build. They chose to sell to the next door neighbor; a friend of ours, who plans on either demolishing it or using it for storage.

Ron I am very sorry for the loss of your friend and that pretty intelligent woman.
I spoke to a guy a friend of a friend did 22 yrs. in the big house. He said unless you hurt kids or something really sick to people you just become one of the many sickos in the joint. He said their is just to many wackos in their. The guy I spoke with was actually a pretty nice guy. His crime he robbed his first bank at 15 yrs old and every damn time he got out and needed money he hit another one.
Never hurt anyone just could not stop hitting the damn banks.. Like when they asked Dillinger why he robbed banks "Cause that's where the money is."Comment

Demolish it! They were obviously filthy people, filthy people draw rats to a country house like shit draws flies. Rats can and will chew through anything and wildlife friends follow, snakes, possums, squirrels and raccoons. Their stuff will be coated in rat shit and fur balls/skeletons ejected/excreted by snakes.
They need to have cats to kill the sorry bastards already infesting the place that will be seeking new accommodations after the scraping. The land needs leveled too, gophers, armadillos, moles, rabbits and badgers have most likely tunneled the yard in a beyond obscene manner. There are probably all kinds of white trash debris buried just under the surface. Tell him to rototill the yard at the very least. Going over it with metal detectors first would be a good idea.
If he insists on keep the building after excavating the trailer park detritus out of it fumigation is in order.
