    Springfield XD Mod.3 OSP

Anybody has one? I have an Xd-s and I love it, it's my carry tool, those Springfields are highly comparable to Glock as far as size and mag capacity and I'll dare to say are better built than a Glock, I see them going for $340, I am tempted....ah shit....I still have guns I haven't shot....damn addiction...

The third generation of the proven XD boasts a factory-milled slide for industry-leading optics, an aggressively textured frame for superior control, and improved serrations for easy slide manipulation. The passive grip safety, tactile loaded chamber indicator and striker-status indicators work together to enhance security, while the redesigned flat-face trigger provides a consistent pull and clean break. Shipped with a 16-round stainless steel magazine, the XD Mod.3 delivers premium features at an exceptional price.

I have a plain old XD9. It shoots better than I can. Can't mount optics on it, though. You looking to put a red or green dot on it?

If I was going to go with something I could mount a dot sight on, I'd go with the CZ-P09 Nocturne. IF I wanted to start using a dot sight. Right now, I'm still satisfied with iron sights. That doesn't mean my tastes won't change one day, though. I also find the Beretta PX4 Storm interesting. Both of them are hammer fired.

I'm undecided on it, no no red dots, handguns are designed for very short distance, I can still see well enough to shoot a silhouette at 40 feet. I got turned off by the toy shop, they advertise one price but they want a different price if you walk in, sounds like BS to me, I told them off. I bought another Springfield from them though. I have a small FFL guy next to the pool place where I used to shop for chemicals, five minutes away, He charges $25 for paperwork and transfers. I'm just in the mood to buy another gun.

I know but I hate to spend money on things I don't really need but just want.

Think of it as investing in your grandchildren's future.

Well, It's going to have to wait. The only store in town that will honor the under $300 price is Bass Pro, they showed them in stock, drove out there, last one got sold yesterday, they'll have more by Oct 2nd, so I'll call them.

My grandchildren will be set for life, trust me on that. Middle son says he's picking all my toys the day I die.

I keep seeing those surplus Beretta 84 Cheetah's in .380 for $300. You know those are going to be around $600 in a few years when they're all gone. I'll bet they are fun to shoot, too.

I only have one, my full size XD-40 tac, that I carried on the job for years. Bought it when they first hit the stores many years ago, have loved it ever since. would love a compact size XD, but it's not really needed. Got my M&P Shields to fill that niche in my collection

According to my father in law, who got a special exemption to carry one on his job when they first came out, the XD45 he gave me was the first one sold in the state of Nevada. I CCW'd it for several years before going to the CZ because I just prefer a hammer fired for carry over a striker fired.

In my opinion Springfifelds are better built than Glock, the frame is stronger. I've shot a few hundred rounds on the XD-s, not a hiccup and it feels good in my big hands. And I like that safety feature on the grip.

and much better built than the Sig p365, I was not impressed at all when I took one apart.
