I have three XDs, one in 40 one in 45 and a hellcat. Never had an issue with any of them. The grip allows for a high purchase on the pistol very much like the sig and much better for my hands than the Glock. I also like the price. Never a failure of any kind with any of them. I have several thousand rounds through the 45 without one hiccup no matter what ammo I use. The mags are excellent as well.

They are well made, I love them, my son has an old Xd, never had an issue either. I'm waiting for it to come into the store. They are a PITA to deal with, their NICS approval somehow takes too long, then there is a second approval in-store in some cases, but their prices are really good. I couldn't find it locally for less than $339 plus $5 for paperwork, or pay $299 and $30 transfer fee and I still had to wait for it to arrive, I paid $299 out the door. NO tax, no transfer fee. For that price it's an investment.

I was in Bass Pro (formerly Cabela's) this morning, just to kind of look around. The one in Albuquerque is stupid expensive compared to local gun stores. They even had an antique Iver-Johnson .32 revolver for almost $300. You can usually pick that same pistol up at any pawn shop for under $200. Then, you had to sign in if you wanted to look at anything and wait for your name to be called. I was not happy with that place anymore. They've really gone to shit since Covid.

My XD45 gets picky when I feed it reloads. My 1911 will eat those same reloads and ask for more. Maybe the chamber is too tight on it? I haven't tried it with reloads since I got a Lee Factory Crimp die in .45ACP. Maybe that'll fix the issue.

Oh no, that's no way of doing business. Here it's a very large store, carrying everything from ammo to big fishing boats and ATV's, big place, the gun department is quite large, bigger than most gun shops around here, their problem is they get sidetracked while you wait for paperwork to clear and you need to have patience, their prices are very good. I bought that Ruger .22 for my grandson, at a better price than anybody else and this is also better priced. No one had it in stock, only one guy and he wanted like $40 more so I'm still waiting, not like I need it today, no rush.

Have you tried polishing the ramp on the .45. maybe another mag? wooden Q-tip, polishing compound and a dremel tool

OK, got it home, played with it, took it apart, Trigger travel is a tad long, it has one of those straight triggers , it pulls about 5 lbs, just like the rest of them sights are the standard two white dots and a red translucent in the front, 16 rnd capacity, frame is strong, better than a Glock, it has that palm safety on the grip. it feels very comfortable in my hands. I think for the price it's a steal at $299, no tax, no other fee. I really like it. you can buy a plate from them to mount a red dot sight for about $25,

Looks good! I haven't done any gunsmithing to my XDs. Usually, if I grab a batch of .45 it doesn't like, I just feed it to my 1911. I'm thinking about getting a weapon light for it and making it a home defense pistola for when things go bump in the night. I have no problem illuminating someone with a weapon light. They won't get off the first shot if they are armed and that light hits them in the eyes and disorients them.

Yeah, that was a great price. After your post here, I found a XD mod. 2 OSP at Academy. Usually one of the best stores for price around here. They were asking $399 for it.
