Had to look them up, had never seen or heard of stealth arms or that model.
Guess I'm old fashioned, but if I'm gonna carry a full size 1911 style pistol, I want the .45.
I can carry much smaller, lighter pistols just to have a double stack 9mm.
Looks good though. Enjoy
Took it to the range Saturday. Put 200 rounds through it using 7 different magazines. Mostly 115gn bulk range ammo, a few mags of Hornady 115gn Critical Defense, and 50 rounds of Fiochii 147gn sub-sonics.
One fail to fire, but that was with some crap Winchester ammo. It’s been some of the worst ammo. Only ammo that I’ve seen fail to feed in 3 different Glocks. I suspect it was just barely out of battery. Rechambered it and it fired the round.
Impact is about 1” low and right at 25 yds. I’ve ordered a lower front sight, and I’ll install it a hair to the right of where it sits now.
Round count is at 400, still running like a clock. I tried the lower front sight, but that put me 18” high at 50 yds. Switched back to the regular sight and am now experimenting with different ammo to find one that matches elevation.
I have found one issue. I tend to prefer iron sights, but I got the optics cut slide just in case I want to throw a red dot on there. The set screw that holds the plate on the slide (#4 on the upper drawing) has come slightly loose. I’ve tried torquing it down, but 200 - 300 shots later it will be loose again. I have put red lock tight on the screw and will report back on if it holds.
The loctite seems to have done the trick. After 150 rounds the rear sight is still solid. I've found that 115 gn loads hit a little low, 124 and 135 gn hit about right, and 147 gn is hitting a little high. Overall the 124gn seems to be the winner for this gun. This is 20 rounds at 25 yds, 10 of Federal HST, 10 of Norma range ammo (ball).
