Anyone have experience with these holster companies?

I've been searching for a paddle holster for my Ruger Speed Six. It seems they're not that common but I found two companies that can get me what I want.

    1791 Gunleather and Craft Holsters.

The 1791 Gunleather PDH-R2 revolver holster is made from durable leather, designed for OWB belt carry of S&W 686, Ruger SP101s, Ruger Vaqueros, and other k-frames.

This leather paddle holster features a rotary paddle for quick mounting and allows multiple cant and height settings. A steel-reinforced thumb break and tension screw deliver high retention. Ideal if you want OWB carry without belt slots and easy adjustment options.

They both appear to be well made, but an internet picture can only tell you so much. Anyone here have any experience with either or both of these companies?

No experience with either but...1791 has a good reputation across multiple gun forums. I have moved to kydex but if a leather holster was on my want list I'd look at them.

After a little research, both seem to be getting high marks across the internet. But after watching a few Youtube videos on both, I'm leaning toward the 1791, for the mere reason that the paddle on the 1791 just seems simpler, less going on, ergo less that could go wrong.

I have a shoulder holster by Craft holsters and it is exceptionally well made. Top quality Italian leather and the stitching is very well done. My CZ 75 P01 fits perfectly, with little break in. They are made in Slovakia. Mine was customized to my body (wider shoulders and longer torso) and came ahead of the schedule they quoted me by 2 day UPS shipping from Slovakia.

I don't know the other brand, but I will buy from Craft again.

Thanks for the code but I guess I jumped the gun. Ordered from 1791 a few days ago.

The 1791 holster arrived yesterday. I am impressed, especially for the price. It is definitely well made. I do not regret the purchase.

Resurrecting this thread because I ordered another holster from 1791. I decided to switch my carry gun from my full frame .357 back to my snubby .38 spl. And if its going to be my edc, I need a paddle holster. My previous 1791 purchase was a paddle holster and I was more than satisfied with the quality, so I decided to buy from them again. I was not disappointed. Again, the new holster is very nicely made, high quality. Should I need another leather holster in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from 1791.

(I am not sponsored by, nor am I employed by 1791 holsters. They just make a great product.)
