Congratulations! I don't fish that much, but when I do, it's on a nearby lake in my canoe fishing for bluegill and perch. I tried salmon and trout, but it's too much work and not that much fun. Bluegills never disappoint. In your case, it seems to be crappie. Same thing.

Crappie are just starting to hit down our way. Cooler nights are bringing down the water temps and signaling the Crappie that its mating season.
Used to be lines of boats fishing here but not recently. I think? fuel prices and inflation in general under the Dumbocrat leadership has kept a lot of people away?
Hell I catch all I need right off my dock.

The Santa Fe river is my Nothern property line & you think I could catch fish there. Nope, water level is too low & any fish in there are measured in ounces, not pounds. Minnows to be more accurate.
