FCC chair puts ‘The View’ under the spotlight after Kimmel pressure

Federal Communications Commission Chair Brendan Carr questioned on Thursday whether ABC’s “The View” should be subject to review from the agency, making the daytime talk show Carr’s latest target in his scrutiny of television programs that have been critical of President Donald Trump.

In an appearance on conservative commentator Scott Jenning’s podcast, Carr said he wondered whether “The View” qualified as a “bona fide” news program, a program discussing current events.

If the show did not qualify, Carr said, the program would have to obey the FCC’s equal time rule — which requires broadcast stations to give equal airtime and access to competing political candidates.

It's not like I have a problem with leftist bent shows. To each their own. What I have a problem with is that almost ALL of them, to include the so called "news" media being leftist bent.

The View in particular is not just one sided. They are rabid to the point of being hostile and threatening.

That equal time FCC rule is a good one. I bet PT boys said we want equal time to reply to the obnoxious brain dead dush bags. Once the brain dead old dush bags start paying for that equal time they for sure will be gone.

It's not the show, it's the network that allows that sort of shows. If advertisers pull out, that's the end of it.
