'No Kings' demonstrations are planned across the U.S. this Saturday

Demonstrators will take to the streets nationwide on Saturday for the “No Kings Day of Peaceful Action” against the Trump administration’s policies. Organizers believe that the president is acting more like a king rather than the leader of a democracy.

Trump “is doubling down — sending militarized agents into our communities, silencing voters, and handing billionaires giveaways while families struggle,” the main page of the “No Kings” website states.

Organizers say this weekend’s series of mass peaceful protests will build on the momentum from the June 14 “No Kings Day of Defiance,” which was formed in response to the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary military parade in Washin

I have been to NYC twice. Both times to see Broadway plays. IIRC crossing the bridges into NYC are free...but....it costs to leave NYC. I am not a fan of city living at all and enjoy my quite home in Gods country. I have absolutely fantastic neighbors here. They have been really looking out for me. After spending six months in that HUGE VA hospital in Wade Park, Cleveland it is nice not to have a nurse waking me at exactly 6:30am every morning and having to shit into a bedpan. Its nice to have my pets sleeping beside me again. There is no place like home.

I went to a No Kings protest in my small town a few months ago. It started around 12 noon and I camped out at a local bar's outside seating area at a table. Ordered a cold drink and took in the festivities.

Spent about 2 hours watching the anti-Trumpers congregate at a 4-way intersection yelling and waving their cardboard signs. The crowd was made up of the 3 following groups:

1. Old hippies with gray hair and banners. They were acting like the 1960's had returned and they were still "relevant".

2. Mexican wetbacks, several of whom were draped in American flags and yelling into small electric megaphones. Also banners & signs in both Spanish and English.

3. Clueless Gen Z twits standing around and taking a lot of cell selfies and pics of their friends. From what I observed I doubt any of them knew why they were there except to have a good time.

I met a few crusty Boomers like me and we all agreed the protesters were shitheads, Commies, and losers.

My county has had a number of anti-ICE demonstrations because we have a large prison. Each demonstration is more pathetic than the previous. The Left is losing both interest and support. There's hardly any protesters. It's just a few older females with blue hair. That's it. It's become embarrassing.
