Jerry Seinfeld criticizes kids' getting the day after the election off

Students of the Ethical Culture Fieldston School "who feel too emotionally distressed" the day after the election will be excused from classes, according to a Thursday announcement, the New York Times reported. Excused absences will be permitted on Wednesday or whatever day the election results are announced for students who feel unable to "fully engage in classes."

In addition, no homework will be assigned on Election Day and no student assessments will be given on Wednesday, the New York Times reported. Psychologists will also be available during the week to provide counseling.

"Emotionally distressed" students at the school Jerry Seinfeld formerly sent his kids will be able to take the day after the election off, prompting harsh criticism from the comedian.

WTF has happened to our society? When I was in high school I had two things on my mind - girls and cars. I didn't give a crap who was president.
We have met the enemy and he is us.

Ours has Election Day off due to the voting locations being in the schools.

We are having them take the day off after due to the potential for idiots.

It wasn't that long ago that kids were just fine with hiding under their desks if a nuclear bomb hit the school. Now we have...this. Oh, how far we have fallen.

Pity the kid that got caught peeking out the school window to see this cool bomb go off. It was off to Miss Finnigan's office the school principal to listen to her berate you about going blind looking. That long walk to her office checking out the exits tears running down your face and thinking about escaping. Psychologist? We would have seen him or Satan himself rather than Miss Finnigan.

Fantasy world, the government protecting the children against the Boogeyman. That’s why the latest generation is so screwed up.

My guess all those precious little snowflake would be way better off if 50% of them weren't on shrink prescribed drugs & hormone blocker. I remember this joke from grade school, How do you make a hormone? Don't pay her.

They don't give a damn about protecting anyone. Ask the folks in Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee.
