I've said I live in a quiet area but in Halloween, I carry a gun while I give candy out. For over 45 years we've had a block party on the next road to my west and people from all over come, it's big, I mean those guys throw a hell of a block party, the road gets blocked at 06:00PM and music goes on until; 11 PM, grilling, bouncing houses, DJ's, food and drinks, but by the same token they attract unknown people to the neighborhood and I freak out when I get a 6'4" "kid" trick or treating me... so I carry a gun.

Nobody comes to my road, we am scary

Most years I’ll get maybe 2 or 3 knocks on the door. Our street is a dead end culdesac and from the intersection kids see nothing but houses with the lights off. All 3 of the houses that are ready to hand out candy are set back in the circle and you won’t see unless you walk past 5 bah humbugs to get there. Today we are forecast to get half an inch of rain after 7pm. I expect zero knocks on the door.

Last year we ran out of candy, this year we have plenty of left overs but a whole lot of little kids and parents came by and one group of teenage girls.
