We had some friends over and I did the Traeger smoked prime rib. Cooked it to 125F, then cut into 1” steaks and pan seared to taste. I’m still full from last night.

Our new year's dinner will consist of black eyed peas, collard greens, ham and grits.

      And cornbread.

Corned beef and cabbage here. And fruit salad for desert.

I forgot to do black-eyed peas this New Year's. Oh well, black-eyed peas or not, life is shit right now.

Haven't even heard from any of the kids, well no, I heard from the middle one...Dad we're at Disney World with the kids for the New Year, that cream you gave me is great, took my foot pain away, thanks. and that was all.

New Years Eve dinner wasn't fancy this year due to complications from a nearly 2-day power outage and snow storm. We're making up for it now. Wife made a delicious home-made stew yesterday. I fried up some ground venison with onions and green pepper.
