War powers resolution fails in Senate as 2 Republicans bow to Trump pressure

Senate Republicans voted to dismiss a war powers resolution Wednesday that would have limited President Donald Trump’s ability to conduct further attacks on Venezuela after two GOP senators reversed course on supporting the legislation.

Trump put intense pressure on five Republican senators who joined with Democrats to advance the resolution last week and ultimately prevailed in heading off passage of the legislation. Two of the Republicans — Sens. Josh Hawley of Missouri and Todd Young of Indiana — flipped under the pressure.

Vice President JD Vance had to break the 50-50 deadlock in the Senate on a Republican motion to dismiss the bill.

Seems he is not really in charge of anything just like the rest of them.
I think they all go to the swamp with great intentions then the money starts getting waved in front of them and so much for that. Plus like that homo F.B.I. Hoover and his little black book which they all may have and keep something in it on each other. Nobody is perfect and just that one stupid time they went astray with a hooker and that career ruining picture becomes a powerful tool for vote my way or else.

Dr Rand Paul is a strange character, he's just like Fetterman, not really loyal to the party, but he's there most of the times.

I would like to see us get back to Constitutional governance. But, as long as we have commies in the House and Senate, Trump needs to be able to wage war against commies in foreign lands without their approval.

Iran has been a thorn on our side since 1979. They hate us, they hate our system and lifestyle. I knew some Iranians who left the country back then and they were normal folks like us, but the Ayatollahs have managed to not only destroy the country but change the people. There is only one way to change them back but it will be called genocide.

It is in our national interest to see the end of the Islamic occupation of Persia. If we can eliminate the Islamic government Islam all over the world takes a huge hit.

Military objectives are fine, but we must avoid "nation building" and handing out visas. Kill the bad guys and get out. We don't owe them anything else.
