Thursday will be the last day to be able to take the driver’s license exam in another language in Florida.

That had some Jacksonville residents rushing to take the complete exam. Ana Valdes was one of a handful who came in before the statewide change. Valdes has been preparing for months and decided to take the exam before she can’t complete it in Spanish.

“I think it’s a good thing. I mean, we’re Americans, and Americans should have an English language for the test,” said Terry Caldwell, local resident.

Another good move by Flarda and all states should adopt this law.

I have traveled a lot in my younger days and had to have an 'international' drivers license to drive in a foreign country. Obtained here in the states before departing. AAA gives them free to members. Never have been to a country that lets you obtain their license in any language but theirs.
A serious problem here is once someone gets their drivers license in other than English? Next comes a CDL big rig license. Not good as now people are dying out their from big rig drivers that can't even read a frigging stop sign.

Well gee...you need to be able to read and communicate in English outside of Miami and LA. Wonder how those truck drivers managed to even get lunch?
